3. The thesis deals with the problem of teaching professionally oriented monological utterances in English to International Economics students. The methodology of teaching two types of informative monologue - reporting and instructing - has been theoretically substantiated. The essential features of oral reporting and instructing have been singled out and analyzed, considering their linguistic and extra linguistic peculiarities. The spheres and typical situations of professional business communication have been determined. The list of links to Internet resources used for the production of reports and instructions, has been created according to the criteria for these resources selection. As a result of the research, a complex of exercises for teaching oral production (reporting and instructing) has been grounded theoretically and elaborated practically. The efficiency of the suggested methodology of teaching oral monological speech in English has been experimentally proved. Methodological recommendations for organizing the teaching process have been developed and applied in practice in three higher educational establishments in Ukraine.
