Object: managerial process by the professorial personnel of the state high schools of the Western region of Ukraine. Aim: system scientific research of problems of management by the personnel of high educational institutions and its improvement in view of an economic condition of the country and specificity of processes of public transformation. Methods: system, comparisons, analysis and synthesis, statistical and sociological. Results: development of new theoretical-methodological and methodical bases of management by the personnel and a substantiation of practical recommendations for increase of efficiency and improvement of control system of PTP in high schools in conditions of public transformation. Use: in work of subcommittee on questions of higher education of Committee of Supreme Council of Ukraine on questions of education and science, in educational process.
