Shvets T. The Formation and Functioning of Agricultural Community Based Cooperatives.

The object of research – the process of the forming and development of community based cooperatives in the North-Western region of Ukraine. The purpose of research: working of the scientific and grounded proposals for the organizational-economic aspects of the community based cooperatives functioning improvement. Methods: abstract-logical, comparing analysis, synthesis, statistically economic, monographic, expert evaluation, calculation and constructional, SWOT-analyses etc. Theoretical and practical results: scientific outcomes, formulated in a thesis obtained conclusions and recommendations can be used in the motivation of additional financing aimed to improve financial and practical cooperative base at the basis of rural societies and while improving the mechanisms of economical relations of the cooperatives of the given type with the elements of market infrastructure. The outcomes assist the improving of the information and financial-credit providing of the cooperative sector. Research novelty: thedemand for the application of strategically oriented community based cooperatives have been grounded for the first time, particularly, the directions of diversification of their activities, the ways of the attraction to the vertical integration processes, the ability of cooperation with the other elements of the agricultural market infrastructure have been substantiated, the methods of production structure optimization and the agricultural cooperative activities planning have been developed; the thesis also determines the essence of agricultural and economical retarding and peculiarities of creation and development of the community based cooperatives; the proposals of as to the alternative ways of financial support of the community based cooperatives and their information and consultation providing have got further development; the necessity of monitoring the present-day processes of community based cooperative formation has been also grounded. Degree of introduction: the findings of investigation utilized inpractical activity by the Zhytomyr Regional State Rada, Agricultural marketing cooperative “Zhubrovitsky”, and also in the educational process of the State Higher Institution “The State Agroecological University”. Efficiency: the research results substantiate the concepts of the development of agricultural marketing cooperatives on the region level Sphere, area of use: Regional managements of economy and agroindustrial development, Local administration of agroindustrial complex, higher educational institutions and agricultural marketing cooperatives.
