Zhila T. Administrative-territorial lexica of the Ukrainian language forming

The object of the dissertation is administrative-territorial lexis. The aim of the research is to analyze lexis for indication the units of territorial division of Ukrainian lands, to study the ways of its formation, to find out the peculiarities of function. The methods are descriptive, comparative-historical. The science novelty is that the system description and the analysis of administrative-territorial lexis of Ukrainian language from the period of fixation in written memorials till nowadays are presented at the first time. The sphere of usage is in lexicographical practice; in lingvodidactics of the high school: in teaching of the courses of History of Ukrainian literary language, the stylistics and in special courses of Comparative Grammar of Eastern Slavic languages and the historical lexicology.
