Shchetyna S. 3. Technological estimation of the elements of egg-plants growing under drop irrigation in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine

The thesis is devoted to studying the assortment of Ukrainian and alien egg-plant varieties and hybrids and the estimation of effective technological elements of egg-plants growing in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine under drop irrigation. The expediency of growing 50 days egg-plants seedlings in cassettes with the size of cells 5x5 and 8x8 cm is proved. These variants of cassette method of growing seedlings provided the average annual yield of 32.5 and 33.4 t/ha. The best varieties of egg-plants Donetskyi urozhainyi, Fialka, Almaz have been selected and the scheme of plants arrangement 70x25 cm for the conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine has been defined. The positive influence of planting of seedlings in the second decade of May is determined. It is proved that temporary tunnel shelters which are covered with polyethylene film give better effect than those covered with agrofibre. It is proved, that the cultivation of eggplants in the conditions of Right-Bank Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine is economically profitable. Average bioenergetics efficiency counts 0.89-1.92.The main results of the investigations were tested in real-field conditions and are recommended for using in the egg-plant production.
