Essay

Object of research: process of becoming and development of agricultural marketing cooperative societies in vegetable growing during changes in agrarian business of Ukraine. The purpose of research: development of scientifically proved offers on organizational-economic bases of effective functioning serving marketing cooperative societies in a vegetable subcomplex. Methods: dialectic method of knowledge, abstract-logic, analogies and comparisons, an induction and deduction, monographic, the analysis and synthesis, settlement-constructive. Theoretical and practical results: It offers a viable organizational structure of an agricultural marketing cooperative enable farmers to save costs of marketing their grown products and cost of inputs purchased to grow this produce, and allowing farmers pool significant volumes of vegetables and target internal and external markets more successfully, and control price formation in vegetable subsector. The thesis also gives proposals on marketing cooperatives' participation in integration processes, specifically in operations of regional vegetable markets and diversification of activities into provision of services to personal household farms. Scientific novelty: the thesis generalizes economic functions of marketing cooperatives performed in vegetable products market; studies stages of foundation and development of service marketing cooperatives of agricultural producers in Ukraine, and analyzes development of marketing -type cooperative entities in foreign countries. The paper substantiates economic efficiency of cooperatives in the process of servicing their members. Degree of introduction: results of research are used in activity of marketing cooperative society " Southern union ", in a full society of farmers " the Red guelder-rose ", managements of regional state administrations of the Kherson and Nikolaev areas for training agricultural commodity producers. Efficiency: use of the received results will assist improvement of formation and functioning of marketing cooperative societies in vegetable growing for strengthening competitiveness of agricultural commodity producers.
