Essay

The thesis for the first time in Ukrainian linguistics provides a comprehensive analysis of locative sytaxemas of the Ukrainian language, defines features of locativity as semantic-syntactical and cognitive category, defines a place of locative syntaxemas in the system of semantic-syntactical units and qualifies them as minimal predicate units that name space characteristics of action, process, subject location, phenomena of reality, substantiates the lexical-grammatical status of adverbs and prepositions as carriers of space meaning.
