Terletskiy D. Constitutionally legal regulation of the effect of international agreements in Ukraine

On the basis of system approach, the author proves the necessity to broaden the scopes of scientific research and to distinguish the constitutional implementation of international agreements in whole as an independent component of general national implementation of international and legal norms. In this connection, the author fully examines the mechanism of constitutional implementation of international agreements, marks out its legal, organizational and functional components; analyses the existing defects in the mechanism of constitutional implementation and offers the ways of correcting the defects. The attention is also focused on the analysis of the practical results of the influence of constitutional law on the effect of international agreements in Ukraine. There were formulated a number of provisions and recommendations in the thesis, which are aimed at improvement of constitutional and current legislation and of law enforcement practice to increase the efficiency of realization of internationaltreaty commitments of Ukraine on the national level
