Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to the improvement of efficiency of treatment of patients with the nodular forms of goiter and prophylaxis of postoperative complications in these patients. It has been stated that in the patients with the nodular euthyroid goiter and subclinical hypothyroidism activation of processes of peroxide oxidation and decline of antioxidant defenses enzymes activity was registered in blood and in thyroid tissue before operation and in postoperative period, concentration of B-lymphocytes, Ig A, IgG and of circulating immune complexes increases. Inclusion of dalargyn in pre- and postoperative regimen in patients with nodular goiter results in the decline of activity of processes of peroxidation, activation of enzymes of antioxidant defense, elimination of signs of subclinical hypothyroidism. Operative access to the thyroid gland has been worked out, which provides more favorable conditions for the wound healing, diminishes frequency of postoperative wound complications, decreases patient’s stay in the hospital.
