The following pedagogical terms of application of multimedia in independent work of students are developed and theoretically proven: individually oriented independent work of students using multimedia technologies witch are called to promote the realization of the students’ own aspirations, to help the students self-realization, to develop the ability to solve difficult tasks, to assist in formation of creative thinking and as a result to form a highly educated personality. A new methodology of independent work of students has been developed, which gives the opportunity to improve in quality the process of obtaining knowledge, abilities andskills by the future teachers of mathematics.
