Bereznitskaya A. Prognosis and preventive measures on gestational pyelonephritis in pregnant women with asymptomatic bacteriuria

This study was performed to develop methods of gestational pyelonephritis prognosis on the base of investigation of colonic and vaginal microbiocenosis, kind of bacteriuria, factors of uropathogens persistence, renal blood flow for prevention of this pathology in pregnants with asymptomatic bacteriuria, which are at high risk of its development. Prognostic model of gestational pyelonephritis were developed. This model allows to define high risk groups of patients on the base of prognostic index counting. On the base of the above method of gestational pyelonephritis prognosis in pregnant women with asymptomatic bacteriuria we developed complex of preventive therapy that leads to improving of clinical results as compared with traditional outpatient care of pregnants with bacteriuria, decreasing frequency of gestational pyelonephritis, recurrent bacteriuria, complications of pregnancy and delivery and level of infectious-inflammatory diseases of recently confined women and newborns and consequently to decreasing terms of hospitalization in maternity home.
