The thesis is devoted to an urgent problem of efficiency upgrading of express route passenger traffic in large cities, a new criterion has been put forward for efficiency estimation of express route passenger traffic which allows socio-economic consequences to be taken into account for the society as a whole. Developed models of urban route passenger traffic and conducted experiments have given an opportunity to reveal regularities of passenger traffic flows and application characteristics of transportation facilities; to define more exactly the field of express traffic application. The application of the developed procedure introduction of express traffic conditions on routes of urban passenger transportation allows rational parameters of routes with combined traffic conditions to be chosen.
