Marchenko T. Semantics and pragmatics of the incomplete sentences in the Ukrainian language

Object: formal and grammatical, semantic and syntactical, functional incompleteness of sentences in different styles of Ukrainian language; objective: to investigate functional and semantic and pragmatic and intentional peculiarities of incomplete sentences under conditions of communicative activity; methods: structural, particularly, distributive contextual and transformative methods of analyses of sentences; partial techniques of statistical method; novelty: firstly classification of semantic and functional types of incomplete sentences is proposed; scientific interpretation of functions of incomplete sentences is enlarged; results: the idea of elimination of syntaxemes is introduced; the frequency of usage of syntactical constructions with elimination of different syntaxemes is defined; the usage of incomplete sentences in speech acts with different intentions is analyzed.
