Essay

The thesis is devoted to enhancement of phase shifters with -diodes based reflecting circuits as well as to development and study of principles of electromechanic control over effective parameters of microwave lines suitable for phase shifter applications. The main focus is on development of the principles of electromechanical control over effective parameters of microwave transmission lines, which have low loss and may work at millimeter waves. Electromechanically tunable phase shifters capable to provide low loss and larger phase shift are proposed and studied.
