Sidletska T. Cultural and historical evolution of the Ukrainian folk instruments orchestra

This thesis is devoted to the research of the formation and the development of the Ukrainian folk instruments orchestra as an art phenomenon in the Ukrainian musical culture. In this work we revealed the essence of the Ukrainian folk orchestra and determined its place in the Ukrainian musical culture. We analyzed the scientific literature on this problem and determined the principal directions for the scientific research of the orchestra. We revealed the culture and historic preceding conditions of the orchestra foundation. We also determined the main factors that influenced on the formation of the Ukrainian folk instruments orchestra. Basing on the analysis of the creative activity of the professional Ukrainian folk instruments orchestras we found out the professional particularities and we generalized the leading tendencies of the development of the Ukrainian folk instruments orchestra at the present stage.
