Ponomarenko O. The treatment and prophylaxis of infections purulent complications in patients operated on for obliterating diseases of lower extremities' arteries

The dissertation is dedicated to the treatment and prophylaxis of infections purulent complications in patients operated on for obliterating diseases of lower extremities' arteries. We have worked out the complex of medical measures against postoperative infections purulent complications which include sanitation and drainage of wounds, necrotic tissues' dissection, fight against lymphorrea, the use of antibacterial therapy in accordance with the sensitivity of the pathogenic flora sown out; performing repeated reconstructions and various kinds of extraanatomic shunting when it is necessary. The introduction of the recommendations suggested into the practical activity resulted in the decrease of number of severe deep wound infections from 25,86 to 8,03 % and lethality reduction in the group of patients with extremities' amputations from 17,24 to 4,46 %
