Poltoretska N. Scientific substantiation of terms, methods of sowing and fertilizing under different buckwheat varieties in the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine

The evaluation of the peculiarities of production process of modern varieties of buckwheat in comparison with the previously selected variety Victoria is given with the aim of improvement of buckwheat cultivation technology in the conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. The peculiarities of forming the yielding capacity rate and the quality of buckwheat grain depending on fertilizers, sowing terms and methods in the conditions of the region are defined for the first time; besides, the best terms of nourishing plants with nitrogenous fertilizers are found. Some scientifically grounded suggestions as to producing buckwheat are worked out on the basis of field tests and production approbation. In the conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine sowing of some buckwheat varieties such as Kara-Dah and Victoria by drill sowing method and some wide- row varieties such as Victoria in the third ten day period of April on the background of complete mineral fertilization with fertilizer doze of N45P45K45 combined with nitrogenous nourishing of buckwheat at the beginning of blooming with fertilizer doze of N20 guarantees the highest level of yield and the best quality of buckwheat grain.
