The thesis concentrates on the analysis of Pushkin motives in M. Bulhakov's creative works. It also deals with the genesis and the evolution of Pushkin motives in the prose and drama of the artist throughout different periods. Within the thesis, the different functions of Pushkin motives have been studied such as structural, imaged, generic, and stylistic. The relation between Pushkin motives and the other motives of Russian and foreign writers in M. Bulhakov's creative works are also analyzed within the framework of the thesis. The Bulhakov's approaches to the creation of Pushkin image in the artistic literature are specified.
