In the thesis research, scientific data on the problems of post-modernism as an artistic system, modern literary fairy tale and fairy genre in creative work of Petrushevskaya are systematized. Comparative analysis of spatial-temporal structure of fairy tales and non-fairy tale prose was made, a number of transformations of fairy-tale model of the world and the motives that caused proximity of symbolism of chronotops of fairy tales and stories of Petrushevskaya and common archetypes in them were revealed. Post-modernist principles in creative work of Petrushevskaya are scrutinized in the thesis as a transitional phenomenon which presumes attempts to re-construct the world basing on symbols and values of previous cultural epochs.
