Essay

The approach to formation of pupils’ system knowledge of animate nature, based on representing the structure of objective reality in the contents of study material, has been specified in the dissertation. Theoretical backgrounds of the organization of the correlated study of program material and methodological knowledge, in specific, structural levels of system knowledge, didactical conditions and stages of system knowledge formation, succession and criteria for selection of information on methodological knowledge, as well as the stages of its inclusion to study contents have been substantiated. The model and methods providing effective formation of secondary school pupils' system knowledge of animate nature have been developed and experimentally tested, and may be used in the education process at modern schools.
