Goryainova N. The prognosic value of blood serum thymidine kinase in acute myeloid leukem

In the dissertation the clinical and hematological features of course of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on the basis of TK level in blood serum were indicated and connection between the TK level in blood serum in the time of diagnosis and severity of course of AML was revealed. It was marked that upper level of TK characterized the more malignant leukemia clone. The criteria for predicting of standard induction chemotherapy results were elaborated on the basis of TK level in the time of diagnosis. Effectiveness of chemotherapy courses in AML patients were estimated depending from changes in TK level in blood serum before and after treatments. Based on the data of serum TK level in remission period there were developed the criteria for predicting of relapse appearance. In some groups of the patients changing in treatment strategy proved to be essential and way of its improvements were grounded on the theoretical basis
