Essay

The thesis represents the results of the lectin phenotype research of the malignant cells in patients suffering from myeloid and lymphoid tumors. It is proved that the structure of membrane glycoconjugates reflects the origin, the direction and the stage of differentiation of malignant cells. The changes of lectin-binding membrane determinants of the malignant cells were stated and systematized for myeloid and lymphoid proliferating processes; diagnostic and prognostic importance of lectin phenotype is proved.
