Subject of research:Children in critical state caused by severe community-acquired pneumonia. Purpose of study is to determine abnormality criterion of vitally important child's organism systems with severe community-acquired pneumonia that make it possible to predict severity of disease process and clinical outcome, carry out required correction of patient state. Methods of study are clinical, biochemical, instrumental, bacteriological and immunoenzyme. On the basis of results received, developed was diagnostic algorithm of prediction of the child state initial severity and disease outcome when admitted to anesthesiology and intensive therapy unit. It includes characteristics of gas exchange, oxygen transportation system, acid-base balance, central and pulmonary hemodynamics, clinical and morphometric indexes of peripheral blood cells and makes it possible to predict with high reliability (84,1±5,0%) the disease process and outcome of disease ( 65,0±5,0%). The proposed prediction scale can be usedin medical clinics in the anesthesiology and intensive therapy unit.
