Essay

The paper deals with the specificity of the feminine discourse in the Ukrainian literature by the example of the works of Dokia Humenna, Vira Vovck, Eugenia Kononenko and Maria Matios. For the first time in the Ukrainian study of literature this research systematic analyzes and regulates the definitions of Ukrainian artistic feminology. It outlines the development of the feminine literary tradition in general. The paper differentiates such notions as "feminine" and "feminism". The dissertation clarifies the main peculiarities of female prose. There is original textual organization (mosaic, fragmentariness, intuitive basis, unexpected effect, passion as vital power of text, synthesis of arts, mixing of genres, multi-level representation), the accentuation of woman's subjectivity, the actualization of syncretic perception (acoustic, visual, tactile, gustatory sense) and sensible interpretation of a man and the whole world.
