Polkhovska I. Constitutional principle of equality of a person and a citizen in Ukraine.

The place of constitutional principle of equality of a person in the system of principles of constitutional-legal status of a person and a citizen is researched in the dissertation, the characteristics of these principles is given; the historical development of the idea of equality in world and domestic political-legal thought, in the constitutional law science on modern stage is analyzed. The concept of constitutional principle of equality of a person is defined, its legal nature is researched; the significance of this principle for realization of rights and freedoms of a person and a citizen is revealed; the main trends of provision of equality of a person according to different features and factors, which influence this process, are defined and proved.
