Essay

The dissertation describes the optimization of treatment of non-Q-wave ACS patients. It contains comparative evaluation of calcium-channel blocker diltiazem and beta-blockers with different pharmacological properties as regards their anti-ischemic effect, effect on TPE, functional status of myocardium, autonomic regulation of the heart activity, and changes of endothelial function during long-term follow-up. We hence pathogenetically justified and proved that long-term administration of diltiazem to the non-Q-wave ACS patients is more effective than treatment with beta-blockers both without ISA (atenolol) and with ISA (celiprolol). We proved the efficacy and safety of beta-blocker with ISA celiprolol administration in such patients and justified indication to its administration to these patients.
