Krivenko J. Civil and Legal Status of Religious Organizations in Ukraine.

The present research provides a comprehensive analysis of the theoretical and practical issues related to the civil and legal status of religious organizations in Ukraine. The dissertation consists of an Introduction, three Sections and Conclusions. The Introduction explains the significance of the issues under study, defines the object, subject and methodological basis of the research. Section I is dedicated to the formulation of civil and legal status of religious organizations and the brief analysis of the formation of civil and legal status of religious organizations from Roman Law till nowadays. Section II is dedicated to the concept of a religious organization as a legal entity. The author assumes a completely new approach to distinguishing the two notions such as the Church and a religious organization. Section III provides a comprehensive theoretical and practical analysis of various activities carried out by religious organizations. The Concluding part contains the most important theoretical and practical results of the research."
