Prutjan D. Guardianship in the Roman private law and modern Ukrainian civil legislation.

The dissertation is devoted to a complex research of the problem of reception of the roman institute of guardianship (tutela) in modern Ukrainian civil legislation. The first section of dissertation is devoted to choosing the methods of research. The historical evolution of the roman institute of guardianship (tutela) has been analyzed in the second section of dissertation. The qualifying signs of guardianship (tutela) in Roman law have been determined. In the third section of dissertation the essence and singularity of legal regulation of the institute of guardianship in modem Ukrainian civil law are examined. A detailed analysis of the influence of Roman law on the legal regulation of institute of guardianship has been presented. The conclusions about necessity of improvement of the rules that regulate the institute of guardianship in Civil Code of Ukraine and appropriate propositions are made."
