Essay

The antiepileptic effects of human recombinant interferone 2-alpha on the absence manifestation at the early stage of kindling, induced via corazol administrations was established. Simultaneous administration of interferone 2-alpha and obzidan was followed by increased antiepileptic effects wwhich was pronlounced in more than two- times shortening of duration of spike- wave complexes. At the stage of full- developed kindling interferone 2-alpha intensified the generalized and focal seizures, which have been induced via administrations of agonists of excitatory aminoacids receptors as well as by epileptogens, which caused break- down of GABAergic inhibition. These effects were more pronounced in three weeks from the moment of induction of kindling. Interferone 2-alpha caused both decreasing of thiol groups (by 3,7 times fold) and reduced form of ascorbic acid. Both effects have been blocked by obzidan.
