Danilenko N. Formation of women's psychological readiness for maternity.

The work studies specificities in the formation of psychological readiness of women for maternity. It reveals high level of personal anxiety with women having complications in pregnancy. The reasons for development of anxiety are: a state of central nervous system, low level of neuropsychic resistance and variable internal personal conflicts which arose mostly during the childhood of the pregnant. There has been revealed the influence of maturity on the formation of psychological readiness of women for pregnancy and demonstrated the relation between the level of psychological readiness for maternity and the development of complications in pregnancy and various possible styles of education chosen by pregnant women. The study considers a technology of psychological support to the pregnant which increases their level of psychological readiness for pregnancy through conscious attitude towards themselves, the maternity and the child.
