Essay

The paper is devoted to the complex investigation of Leonid Pervomaisky's prose of the 1960's - 70's (the novel "Dykyj Med", the collection of stories "Opovidannya ne dlya rozvagy", stories "Posmishka Djockondy" and "Nichnyj autobus") in the aspect of . psychologism on the background of the Ukrainian prose of the defined period, the author's literary articles and his epistolary heritage. The central place of Pervomaisky's psychological analysis's been found out. There also have been established the leading types of the characters that constitute the main objects of the author's analysis. The basic character-creation means (such as portraits, external and interior speech as well as the synthesis of the internal and external forms of psychological analysis) have been investigated. The principle of the character accentuation is considered to be the prime principle of the character creation in the novel. The author of the manuscript's found out the gradual withdrawal of Pervomaisky's manner from the Tolstoy's method as a universal one in the stories of 1970's. The analysis shows the transference of the author's attention to the depicting of the crisis conditions of a human being and finding ways of overcoming them through compassion and understanding between people.
