The thesis defines, describes and analyses the aspects of content and form of the Ukrainian multiple tirne novels. This specific genre modification should be regarded as the subtype of historical novel despite the distinguishing features, such as the split composition, the multiple plots, high degree of montage; the historical reconstruction is combined with personal experience of the writer. Ukrainian multiple time novels focus on the themes of historical memory, time and historiography. The composition can be viewed as the example of spatial form, defined by J. Frank as a prominent trend in XX century world literature, Often the composition of the novel ear", be viewed as the reflection of the central architectural image. Schematically the plot of the Ukrainian multiple time novels follows the pattern: a main character (often a historian or an artist) finds, an .-artifact and starts working with it. The<;encounter launches the historical subplot, devoted to the creation of the artifact. Due to hybridpoetics the Ukrainian multiple time novels demonstrate stylistic variety, plot originality and the promise of further evolution.
