Essay

The dissertation is devoted to analysis of psychological factors which influence film violence perception. It has been found that film violence perception structure consists of ten components. These components are 1)sensitiveness to violence, 2)perception intelligibility, 3)realistic perception, 4)mystic perception, 5)engendered aggression, 6)empathy to victim, 7)cultivation of violence world image, 8)pleasure caused by interest, 9)pleasure caused by guilt, 10)pleasure caused by accepting violence. Results show that film violence perception relates to such components of basic personality structure: motives, values, self-concept, personality factors of Five-Factor Model and personality accentuations. The author describes individual and sex differences of film violence perception, their determinants.
