The object - segmented constructions as a result of intonation-semantic splitting of the complete utterance; the aim - to reveal the peculiarities of formal-syntactic and semantic-syntactic organization of expressive syntax constructions in the publicistic texts of newspaper style; methods - structural-semantic analysis, descriptive, opposing, transformational, quantitative; the novelty - for the first time a comprehensive analysis of functioning of different figures of expressive syntax in the publicistic texts from the point of view of their semantics, structure and functions has been performed; the results - criteria of discrimination and functional-semantic peculiarities of detached components as a result of splitting of the utterance have been defined; thematic nominative and lexical repetitions as means of semantic foregrounding in the publicistic texts have been analyzed; modal and introductory syntactic expressive means in the publicistic text and their text-forming potential have been established (determined).
