The thesis is devoted to studying the reasons for repeated recurrences of inguinal hernias, establishing criteria for the choice of hernioplasty method, and working - out the pathologically substantiated methods for allohernioplasty.By the results of experimental-morphological investigations , a polypropylene mesh Prolene was shown to induce the least inflammatory reaction, as compared with Mersilene, Vipro and Vipro II meshes, when implanted into the abdominal wall tissues. The results of surgical treatment for recurrent inguinal hernias with a use of the proposed methods showed their significant advantages over the commonly used methods: recurrence rate was lowered from 30 to 1,2%, rate of postoperative complications - from 18,6 to 6,4%.
