Konovalov A. Study of phagocytosis, peroxidation and antioxidant processes and cytokine production in vitro by neutrophils and monocytes of patients with chronic sinusitis, otitis and tonsillitis

The thesis is dedicated to the study of phagocytosis, peroxidation, antioxidant processes, cytokine production and apoptosis in vitro by neutrophils and monocytes of patients with chronic sinusitis, otitis media and tonsillitis and to development of correction method of indicated changes. It is established, that activation of peroxidation and antioxidant processes in neutrophils and monocytes of patients is most expressed in acute phase of diseases. Inhibition of cytokine secretion in neutrophils and monocytes of patients is established. For the first time the antioxidant and immunostimulating action of Selenium active and Amizonum is shown in vitro on peripheral blood neutrophils and monocytes of patients. Corrective method of occurring changes is offered by means of usage of Selenium active and Amizonum. The obtained data are used in the educational process of Ukrainian medical university
