The new decision of the scientific problem to improve the bore-explosive technology of mining excavations' building by the explosive impulse control for explosive charge with an inert or active refractor in the blast (bore) hole is suggested. It is based on ability of a refractor to redistribute the explosive impulse from axial direction to radial. The explosive impulse and crater volume are determined as functions of refractor parameters. The rational form, geometrical sizes and materials of manufacture for modified inert and active refractors are substantiated. Blast charges with the refractors of modified construction have been applied in mines of the Donbass region. Results show the increasing of coefficient of the blast hole using on 22-26%, rising the building rate on 23% and reducing of the explosive outlay on 10,9%.
