Essay

Differential diagnostics, prognoses and treatment of casualties with concussion and light bruising of the brain, during the acute period of the cranio-cerebral trauma. Differential diagnostics between concussions and light bruising of the brain have been carried out and prognoses, based on diagnosis in the acute period of trauma, have been made. It becomes possible, with the application information technologies and research into the epidemiological features of this kind of trauma, to develop algorithms for providing help to the casualties. Differential diagnosis of light cranio-cerebral trauma (CCT) becomes possible due to the help of additional diagnostic methods, including X-rays of the skull. A one-year prognosis was made for the number of head injury cases expected, with an expected accuracy of 2,5 percents. Consultation with patients with light CCT in the distant past makes possible an increase in the quality of diagnostics and treatment of the casualties in a region, and results in economy of material resources.
