Oros M. Clinical and diagnostic criteria and prognosis of transient ischemic attacks.

On the basis of complex clinical and instrumental examination of patients after TIA a theoretical and pratical generelizetion of the results was carried out which allow to creates the new approach to the actual scientific task of optimisation of diagnostics, prognosing with TIA. The mechanism of screening examination in ultrasonic diagnostic of patients after TIA as primary examination has been worked out. Clinical doplerogrphic indications for making angiography in patients after TIA have been introduced. The great prognostic value of cerebrovascular reactivity index in patients after TIA has been proved for the first time. It has also been proved that mass scrining examination with the help of ultrasonic diagnostic in patients after TIA is ecjnjmically expedient. On the basis of inveswtigation it has been hroved that the most effective metods of secondary prophylaxis are prolonged regular use of antitrombotic medication and secondary surergy prophylaxis in patients with more than 50% stenosisof exstracranial part of the carotid artery.
