Essay

The mathematical models of the atmosphere, blocks of the Thermal Imaging Device (TID) (optical system, detector, block of electronic data processing, display), eye perception were considered. The im-proved method was created. This method includes evolved atmos-pheric model, accounts visual perception, influence of the movements and vibrations of the object’s image, electronic magnification on the Maximum Recognition Range (MRR). The connection between the NIIRS and MRR was found. It allows to analyse the connection between parameters of an object, background, common meteorological data, different blocks of the TID, eye perception, conditions of observation and MRR. In the thesis the scientific task of calculation of the MRR using the NIIRS was investigated. One of the most widespread systems that determines the threshold potential of the TID was connected with the parameters of an object, atmosphere, blocks of the TID, eye perception, conditions of observation. This allows to analyse the influence of such parameters on the NIIRS, to synthesize new TID with the needed quality of the images in accordance with the level of NIIRS.
