Student technical creative work development at the extracurricular institutes in Ukraine in the 20-30-s XX century as one of the forms of the youth labor preparation research is presented in the thesis. Student technical creative work theoretical methodological approaches, technical creative work definitions, ways of their development are investigated in the thesis. The basic premise and determinant of student technical activity in the form of study groups that used to be one of the forms of labor are revealed on the basis of mentioned scientific statements. There is transformation of technical student activity into technical creative work during new native industry fields development and wide involvement of different civil organizations and the press into student technical activity organization with the purpose of technical manpower preparation. The process of the transformation wadetermined by the absence of standard materials for technical study groups practical work. It made imply technical content creative tasks into teaching and educational study that developed their technical and creative abilities. The research covered the aim, principles, tasks and student technical creative work fields, revealed the characteristic tendency and pointed the stage development. The practical recommendations for student technical creative work on the modern level were created on the base of the materials.
