Synyshyn R. The loanwords of Korean origin in the Ukrainian language.

A problematic of lexical aspect of linguistic image of the world is researched. A lexicon is considered as a most typical expression of folk mentality and culture. Borrowings are researched in the context of theoretical problems of language contacts and contactological history of the Ukrainian language. Present situation of the study of oriental loanwords in Ukrainian is analysed. The problem of thematic classification of loanwords is also studied. The role of extralinguistic and linguistic factors in the appearing of Korean loanwords in Ukrainian is researched. The position of studies over Ukrainian-Korean language contacts among other Koreanistic studies in the Ukrainian linguistics is shown. The typological features of the Korean language that are difficult for Ukrainians are defined.
