Pranik S. Historical analysis of the development of the Ukrainian maritime disease-prevention service (after the example of Kyiv central sail worker's clinical hospital).

The thesis is investigated the peculiarities of evolution of the Ukrainian maritime medicine. Kyiv central sail worker's clinical hospital appeared appropriately during this process. Specificity of sailor's work, bad epidemiological situation and lack of the qualified medical help were at the bottom of the appearing of this brunch of medicine. The thesis shows that integration of medical science with training of high skilled personnel has its practical significance for health protection, proved by the performance of research and clinical complexes, such as Kyiv central sail worker's clinical hospital. This complex appeared due to the scientific and clinical activity of Internal disease department of Kyiv's medical university, which existed since 1934 on the base of the hospital. The thesis is devoted to the investigation of the activity of outstanding scientists and clinicists V.N. Ivanov, E.L. Revytskyi, A.P.Peleshyk and L.A. PurogВ.Н. Their investigations were dedicated to gastroenterology, nephrology, oncology, cardiovascular diseases, pharmacology and gerontology. The specificity of sailor's work and professional pathology are shown in dissertation. The thesis is partly filled up the pause in history of maritime medicine of Ukraine.
