Cherkashina I. Influence of perftoran on functionalcharacteristics of human sperm under hypothermia and cryopreservation.

The thesis is devoted to the study of influence of perftoran -perfluorocarbon blood substitute with gas transport function on human sperm mobility, content of lactate, total antioxidant capacity score, content of dienes and of thiobarditurac acid-reactive substances, SOD-activity, under hypothermia and cryopreservation/ The results obtained allow to suggest that most efficient concentration of perftoran is 40% v/v/ It has been demonstrated, that perftoranadding to sperm enables to prolong the survival of cells under hypothermia up to 120 hrs. The authers conclude that cryopreservation and hypothermia does enhance lipid peroxidation in human sperm/ Perftoran acted as an antioxidant by decreasing the content of conjugated dienes and of thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances. Jbtained experimental data of mobility and lactate content demonstrate that human spermatozoa may serve as facultative aerobs under certain condition cfpfble of using oxygen to provide mobility.
