Object - myocardial damage induced by chronic cardiotoxicity of anthracycline antibiotics; methods - clinical, functional, instrumental, histological, statistical; novelty - the comparative analysis of the influence of quercetin on lipid peroxidation and antioxidant status, serum troponin T level, bioelectrical myocardial activity, heart rhythm variability, systolic and diastolic left ventricle function, the dynamics of cardiac damage markers in experimental animals are studied, the prophylactic method of chronic anthracycline cardiotoxicity with quercetin use is elaborated; results – it is proved, that the best cardioprotective effect of quercetin is displayed in preventing of myocardial damage by small cumulative doses of anthracyclines; field – medicine.
