The thesis is devoted to the analysis of potential of correctional works as a sort of administrative penalty. The definition, complex character, aim and peculiarities of correctional works, their correlation with contiguous legal concepts are provided; genesis of research in national administrative-legal science and of normative implementation in national administrative-delictual legislation with emphasizing and description of each stage is analysed.
