Research object:Trademarks and commercial product ranges formed from onyms in modern Ukrainian. Research purpose: The exposure of special features of trademarks formed from proper names as onomastical units, structural models of trademarks, degree of semantic unity in multi-component names. Research methods: Descriptive, component, comparative, functional-stylistic method.Results, novelty consist that first in Ukrainian linguistics the complex research of trademarks and commercial product ranges formed from proper names have been investigated. Structural models of trademarks have been determined, degree of semantic unity in multi-component names have been studied.Sphere of use: Courses of Onomastic, Lexicology, Theory of nomination of Ukrainian language in Institutes of higher education, special courses and scientific seminars, lexicography.
