Savchenko A. Choice of parameters of the switching equipment on the basis of the analysis of the traffic of calculating networks

The methodology of experimental research of network traffic and methodology of choice of parameters of interconnection equipment are defended. The mathematical models of computer networks including model of modern network traffic are analyzed. Experimental researches of specific properties of the network traffic which are necessary for considering at а choice of parameters and structures of the computer network are lead. Recommendations at the choice of various parameters of network (the necessary sizes of buffer memory, throughput, etc.) in depending on intensity of dataflow, their statistical characteristics and structure of network are developed.
