Khobta S. Value bases of modernization in contemporary society.

In the dissertation for the first time in native sociological literature there was given an integrated examination of value basis of modernization process, systematically analyzed theoretical approaches for analysis of value basis of modernization. Modernization is analyzed not only as a transition from traditional to modern society types, but as a transition to informational, global society. There was also offered a comparative characteristic of modern and post-modern value systems. There was conducted an empirical analysis of value changes during the modernization process of so called "overtaking" type. There was concretized specific of value modernization in Ukraine. Also here was described peculiarities of value mind in the process of modernization of inhabitants of Donbass region comparing to those from Galychyna.
