Essay

The methodology of the students' civic competence formation in the process of teaching Science of Law is examined in the dissertation. The analysis of history of the competence approach formation in native and foreign pedagogical sciences is realized. The content of such notions as "competence", "civic competence" is defined more exactly. It is proved that the themes of the Constitutional Right of Ukraine is optimum for experimental work in modelling the methodology of students' civic competence formation in the course of teaching Science of Law. The methodological model of students' civic competence formation in the process of teaching Science of Law is theoretically argued. The effectiveness of the introduction of this model in the process of teaching 9 formers Science of Law is confirmed by formational stage of the experiment.
